Ooooh!

…Horse dragon?

Oh yeah.

Dayum, that painting is beautiful. Is that a Csotonyi piece?

It is indeed. Csotonyi is a genius.

The painting and that find are both incredible!

Dimetrodon and Edaphosaurus. Both are synapsids, neither are dinosaurs.

… those neural spines.

Dimetrodon is a walking derp-face.

I will never cease to be fascinated by this fact. More closely related to us and all mammals than any dinosaur.

Finalized version of Sue. She’s looking mighty pretty. I have been having issues with color so I went pretty much for monotone in this. As this is my first digital painting, I think it turned out pretty well. Thanks for all the feedback assuming-dinosaur and lythronax-argestes-the-gore-king it was invaluable!

Oh, I actually wasn’t aware of this! Fantastic! And I believe credit goes to aurusallos.

Now that I have seen it, a few general comments:

This is the Martyniuk Tyrannosaurus

So, overall, I’d make the lower leg a bit thinner and the tail a wee bit longer, maybe shift the muscle attachments of the arms a bit and make the musculature of the leg less obvious on the posterior side. As for feathers, this is a very good model of a southern Tyrannosaurus, with a coat of short plumage for warmer climates. I’d say feather cape for colder regions, as shown above. Given where Sue was found, your feathering scheme is pretty good. And I love the shading!

My apologies to @aurusallos! Thank you for your response as well!

Fantastic illustration!

Shading is pretty much done. Now I’m gonna get to work on putting feathers/dinofuzz on there! I’ve never been this anal over a single image in a long time.

Update on my T. rex I’m working on. Now working on shading and adding some dinofuzz.
